Isn't it great waking up with this great sky. People on this particular street have this chance but it seems no one was living this moment but me, because there was nobody around. Notice the sun's reflection in the window as well as the shadow of that big tree on the building. Hope you like this shot; and if you do, please share it. Les gens de cette rue sont très chanceux de pouvoir profiter de ce lever de soleil magnifique. Malheureusement pour eux, ils n'étaient pas du rendez-vous car j'étais seul à profiter de ce moment. I just woke up today going to work as usual; the only difference is that I did bring my photo gears to take photos after my day is done. While driving (it was 5h45), I saw this mind blowing sky and I realized I had to change my plans. I went on the Terrasse Dufferin in Quebec City for an hour of shooting and I present you my first processed photo. This was about 5 minutes before the sun went up. I was alone, it was silent and I hope my photo can bring that moment to you. Je me suis levé ce matin pour aller au travail comme à tous les jours; la seule différence est que j'ai apporté mon équipement photo pour aller prendre quelques clichés le soir venu. Sur la route (il était environ 5h45 du matin), j'ai vu ce ciel hallucinant et je devais changer mes plans. J'ai conduit directement vers le centre ville de Québec pour une scéance photo de lever de soleil sur la Terrasse Dufferin. Cette photo se situe environ 5 minutes avant le lever du soleil. J'étais totalement seul, c'était silencieux et j'espère pouvoir vous faire vivre ce moment à travers ma photo. 2011-2012 hockey season is coming fast and it is time for me to reveal this photo which is quite different from what I usually post. This mask was one of Jacques Plante's back in the '60s and the shot was taken at Le Hockey Dans La Peau exposition in Quebec City (Canada). Would you dare goaltending wearing this mask? La saison de hockey 2011-2012 est à nos portes et il est de mise de vous présenter cette photo. C'est celle d'un masque de hockey de Jacques Plante datant des années '60. This photo was taken near the Chaudière and St-Laurent river crossing near Quebec City (Canada). I stood there for about two hours waiting for the best possible light with fishermen trying (without success) to catch fish. I had quite a struggle trying to get the right photo composition as the waves were constantly turning the boat on the right. All in all, I got the shot I wanted and here it is for your pleasure; a nice sunset behind the Quebec Bridge. Enjoy! Cette photo a été prise à l'embouchure de la rivière Chaudière et du Fleuve Saint-Laurent. Je suis resté sur place durant environ deux heures jusqu'à ce que la lumière parfaite survienne. Durant ce temps, j'ai pu admirer les pêcheurs tenter sans succès d'attraper du poisson. Un des petit problème que j'ai rencontré est que les vagues bougaient constamment le voilier à droite ce qui a rendu la composition de la photo plus complexe. Au final, le résultat que je vous présente est tel que je le voulais: un magnifique coucher de soleil sous le Pont de Québec. This is one of the corridors of the Château Frontenac in Quebec City. Although, it says XXX with the three statues, it is far from it ;-). The Château Frontenac is, according to me, one of the greatest building in the city and should be a must see if you come visit our city. Nous voyons ici un corridor du Château Frontenac dans la ville de Québec. Même si on voit un message XXX dans le corridor, l'hôtel est loin de là. Le Château Frontenac est l'un des plus beau bâtiment de la ville et vous devriez le visiter si vous passer par Québec. Comes from: www.fredbeaupre.com Here are some funny facts about this photo! The black horse is the male and he is controling his female (are horses sexist? ;-) ). I stayed there about half an hour taking photos of them and they kept this formation the whole time. When the male wants to go forward or make a turn, he just gives a small head punch on the females back. Poor her, she does not seem to decide anything. Voici quelques faits cocasses à propos de cette photo! Le cheval noir est le mâle et il contrôle sa femelle (est-ce que les chevaux sont sexistes? ;-) ). Je suis resté environ une demi-heure à prendre des photos et les deux chevaux sont restés dans cette position tout ce temps. Dès que le mâle voulait avancer ou tourner, il n'avait qu'à l'indiquer à sa femelle avec un petit coup de tête. Les papillons s'en donnent à coeur joie dans ce festin de fruits. Attention! Il y a tellement de couleurs riches et vibrantes dans cettes photos que je dois vous mettre en garde contre les crises d'épilepsie. La photo a été prise dans la volière à papillons située tout près de l'Arboretum du Domaine Maizerets. Butterflies love eating this nice fruit feast but be warned, looking at such vivid colors for a long time could lead to seizures ;-). This photo was taken in the butterfly aviary near the Domaine Maizerets Arboretum. Le pont que l'ont voit ici est celui d'un chemin de fer situé tout près du Moulin Marcoux à Pont-Rouge. Bien que votre oeil pense que le pont soit réfléchi dans la riviére, c'est en fait dans une petite flaque d'eau qu'ont le voit. Mon appareil était au niveau du sol pour arriver à cette réflection donnant ainsi un effet de grandeur à la scène. We can see here a railroad brige crossing a river near the Moulin Marcoux at Pont-Rouge. Your eye may think that the reflection comes from the river itself but in fact, it comes from a small puddle.
